Gunshot Detection
The Gunshot Detection System (GDS) is a proprietary security technology meticulously designed to significantly enhance public safety and support law enforcement agencies in responding to firearm incidents with unparalleled efficiency. By leveraging state-of-the-art acoustic sensors and sophisticated algorithms, the GDS is capable of accurately detecting and pinpointing the location of gunshots in real-time, within an astonishing 0.4 seconds of a shot being fired. This rapid detection capability ensures that law enforcement officers can immediately gain situational awareness and deploy appropriate measures to address the threat. Furthermore, the system provides critical visual tracking, effectively putting “eyes” on the shooter(s), thereby enabling a faster, more informed, and coordinated response to potentially life-threatening situations.
The National Geographic Program
The National Geographic Program called Xray Earth independently produced a program about SENTRI and the effects it can have on communities. It features a community called Richmond Village in Richmond, CA. This community only had 100K residents, but shooting were so high that the Police Department would send two cars anytime they were responding to “shots fired”. After our system was installed, the residents who were afraid to leave their homes, came out and gave me big, big hugs thanking me for giving them their community back. It is really very telling about how our system changed the Police Departments capabilities to police without fear of their own lives as well… No words for what this piece depicts.
